On March 12, 1982, Richard Pryor’s concert film, Live on the Sunset Strip, was released to movie theaters. Pryor’s career had shifted into high gear in the late 1970s, and as usual, Pryor pushed the envelope with jokes in this film. In 1986, Pryor was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. He continued to work and his last film was Lost Highway (1997). He died of a heart attack at the age of 65 on December 10, 2005.
