On January 15, 1967, the first Super Bowl championship game was held. The game was between the Green Bay Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs at the Los Angeles Coliseum. The two leagues—NFL and AFL—decided that the perfect conclusion to a year of football would be a match-up between the winning team from each league. This first game played to a partially-filled Coliseum, and the Green Bay Packers won 35-10. Today’s Super Bowl is watched worldwide.
