Thank you so much! I spent many years as a ghostwriter so I knew I could investigate many topics. I wanted to build a site that told stories of Americans who are often forgotten. (My list will never be completed because it keeps growing.)
When we are faced with such terrible news on a national scale, I generally recommend that people “look local.” We all have friends and neighbors and organizations that stand for and work toward good things.

Thanks so much for posting. I have great hope for America, and hearing from people like you makes me even more hopeful.

Yes they did. I found their story in a local historical society publication, and they of course led me to their father “Catch ‘Em Alive Jack.” This is the link to the boys’s story. The second link tells about their father. Thank you for mentioning these…American stories don’t get much more interesting than these!
