You are so right, Alex. I always write myself a letter when each pet passes. That way I never forget the funny or loving things they used to do. One of my dogs always put his paw on my foot in the kitchen...made fixing family dinner more difficult, but I loved her all the more for it....I guess it was like holding my hand.
