The fact that you have donated is very much appreciated, I'm sure. And you should feel really great about where Slate is now. My wife knew Brian and Slate they would visit her at her store. I never met him but had the honor and privilege of visiting his gravesite at Arlington. RIP

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 114 in Vandergrift also knew Brian and Slate. We donated money to the SSD after Brian passed. Now we give to them quarterly so that they can train dogs for more Veterans. I follow SDD on FB and was so glad you put this article out about Slate. SSD told us that he would be placed with another Veteran. But now we know exactly where he is and how he is helping someone else. Thank you so much.

Hi..my name is reenie taylor. I am Brian Coutch’s friend before he passed. I have anxiety, PSTD, AND type 1 diabetes (diabetes melites). Slate also took great care of me and I would be shocked to know that he did not detect a low blood sugar or a high blood pressure. He followed me as well.i miss him. ❤
