I could not agree more. I’m sorry I did not see this as I was away. Perhaps my category for his wrong, as I believe my write-up does not portray her as a role model. And of course, she did everything wrong in her means of bringing the panda to the U.S. Then of course, zoos didn’t know much about these types of animals, so the panda did not survive. It is all quite tragic. Thank you for writing.

I’m delighted to know it was helpful. Ruth Harkness was brave to do what she did, but today we know that the idea of bringing home a panda in that way was not a good idea for the panda. We have learned a lot since then.
