Thanks so much for commenting! I agree. A map makes all the difference in feeling oriented, and how great that your grandson is on board with helping to navigate. 

But I&#039;ll also tell you that GPS navigation made all the difference to me in Portchester....the streets change names and everything twists around! Hard to follow on a map. I shed many tears being lost there!

How do you find all these very interesting facts?
We have two cars.  Each has a set of folded maps covering all areas where we typically travel by car.  Each also has a built-in navigation system, plus we use Waze.  Nevertheless, I like to see where I&#039;m going before I go there plus, every now and then, we drive through an area with no reception, even in Connecticut.  
My eleven-year-old greandson has taught himself how to read maps, so the use of paper maps may not totally disapear.  
Thanks for the article.  I look forward to the next one.
