Five brothers served, only two came home. Farm boys who become pilots. They were my mother’s younger brothers. Junior (his P-40 exploded in training) is buried here in Iowa. Danny, KIA in his P-38 in occupied Austria, is buried in Lorraine American Cemetery, St. Avold, France. Only God knows where Dale’s remains like today. Their B-25 was shot down off New Guinea.
