I do think Grace Drayton still deserves a lot of credit. She was working at a time when homemaking was the more common career for women. When her work was recognized, she ran with it and found many new ways to promote her drawings. I’m glad you found and read.

What a great thing to own but I hear you on figuring out value and who might be interested. (I have to think someone will!) I would start the Society of Illustrators. It looks like there is one in New York and Los Angeles. This is a link to the one in New York. Call them (this may take persistence between Covid staffing charges and automated phones) but explain what you have and ask advice. I would think they will have ideas as to whom to approach. There may be auction houses that specialize in illustration, or experts in the field whom you consult. I was connected with a school that had a Norman Rockwell that had been damaged. The Society connected us with a restorer who was able to clean and fix it….and tell us how to insure it! Good luck.
